Even the best coffee can taste flat or bitter when brewed with hard tap water — and most of the UK has hard or very hard water.

As we continue to build Velare, we’re developing a simple, sustainable way to improve everyday coffee using the water you already have at home.

For now, here’s what you can do today:
• Use filtered or softened water if you have it
• Try a soft mineral water like Ashbeck, Volvic or Highland Spring
• Descale your kettle regularly for a cleaner brew
